The Leica DMi8 is a versatile widefield microscope system suitable for fluorescence, brightfield, contrast method (phase contrast, DIC, polarized), histology color imaging and live-cell imaging (with OKO lab on-stage incubator). The system can be used to image multiple sample types including slides, petri dishes, multi-well plates, and small flasks. It is also capable of large tile stitching and can be operated as a whole slide scanning instrument.
