In Memoriam: Martin Samuels, MD (1945-2023)

Our founding director, Martin Samuels MD, passed away on June 6, 2023. Dr Samuels was the former Chair of the BWH Department of Neurology and Miriam Sydney Joseph Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School. The establishment of the Program for Interdisciplinary Neuroscience was one of his many contributions to the hospital and to our field, and we remain committed to his vision of collaboration across the many departments and disciplines that touch on the understanding and treatment of brain disorders.

A memorial to Dr Samuels appeared in the Brigham Bulletin.
